ADAPTATION STUDIES: Literature into Film—and Beyond
The informal SAMLA film adaptation studies group invites paper submissions on any and all aspects of filmic adaptation, including adaptation from sources other than literary texts. In addition, we welcome submissions on all aspects of adaptation more generally considered, including film to literature, adaptation from one literary genre to another, and the multifarious connections of adaptation to other aspects of textual multiplicity (remaking, sequelizing, trilogizing, and seriality). We have been guaranteed by the SAMLA administration at least 5-6 sessions of three papers. Once we receive proposals, we will begin constructing appropriate sessions.
