In the modern technological age, the transformation in the teaching methodology with the adoption of online teaching resources and multimedia in the language classroom has led to the need for more careful planning and preparation on the part of the teacher. Combined with these are the academic guidelines which specify the expected level of language proficiency of students after they have taken a particular English language course, the integration of the role of English as both a social skill and as a professional requirement, and the pressure on the learner to develop all four language skills simultaneously.
