This special chapter focuses on the new media age and related tools with approaches in semiotics. Since new media channels include different features and characteristics of both visual and textual/contextual materials related to semiotics discipline, it is crucial to deal with semiotics in various disciplines. Coverage of special chapter contains social media platforms and related topics both individual (influencers, bloggers, etc) and commercial (brands, communities, agencies, advertisements,etc) contexts within the frame of visual (photos, videos, ephemeral content, etc.) and literal (statuses, texts, etc.) base.
This study aims to have better understanding of social media content regarding (both commercial and individual) semiotic disciplines.

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit papers for this special theme issue on Multidisciplinary Approaches to Semiotics in the Social Media Age on or before 01/30/2020. All submissions must be original and may not be under review by another publication.
