New Forms of Revolution in the Francophone World (panel)

Revolutions have always been pivotal moments in the history of societies, but the forms they take are constantly evolving. This panel aims to explore the new forms of revolution within French and Francophone contexts. We seek contributions that question, analyze, and discuss the following aspects (among others):

·      Digital Revolutions and Their Impact on Francophone Societies:

Explore how digital technologies and the internet have transformed social, political, and cultural landscapes in French-speaking regions. Topics may include social media activism in France or in post-colonial societies, cyber revolutions, and the digital divide.

·      New Forms of Activism and Militancy in Francophone Countries:

Investigating the emergence of new grassroots movements, protests, and forms of resistance. Contributions might examine case studies of recent movements, their methods, and their impacts on society and policy.

·      Gender Revolutions and Feminist Movements in France and Francophone Countries:

Analyzing the evolution and current state of feminist movements, their strategies, and their successes. Discussions may focus on intersectionality, LGBTQ+ rights, and the transformation of gender norms.

·      Ecological Movements and Their Repercussions in Francophone Societies:

Discuss the rise of environmental activism and its influence on public policy and societal attitudes. Contributions may cover topics such as climate justice, sustainability initiatives, and the role of indigenous knowledge.

·      Artistic and Literary Revolutions: New Currents, New Voices, New Aesthetics:

Explore innovative trends in French and Francophone arts and literature. Discussions might focus on emerging artists and writers, experimental genres, and the impact of globalization on artistic expression.
