Please submit abstracts of 250–400 words and a short 100-word bio to the linked form below.
The Taylor Swift & Swiftie Studies area, part of the Northeast Popular Culture Association (NEPCA) Fall Online Conference (October 15–17, 2026), features the newly established conference area and Digital Swift Symposium, a curated space for interdisciplinary scholarship on popular music, fandom, gender, authorship, and digital culture.
This initiative seeks to foster an ongoing scholarly archive and conversation around Swift Studies as a site of critical inquiry.
Publication Opportunities
Presenters will be invited to submit full papers for inclusion in an editor-reviewed conference proceedings volume with ISBN edited by the Area Chair. The proceedings aim to document and support the emergence of Swift Studies as a developing interdisciplinary field, bringing together scholarship on popular music, gender, fandom, authorship, digital culture, and cultural production.
Submissions will undergo an editorial review process, with opportunities for revision prior to inclusion.
A selection of papers may be invited for further development and consideration for publication in a proposed edited collection or special journal issue (details forthcoming).
