About the Organiser
Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies (DILS), Durgapur, West Bengal, is an institution dedicated to legal education and professional training. The Institute is affiliated with Kazi Nazrul University and approved by the Bar Council of India.

DILS offers 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and 3-year LL.B. (Hons.) programmes and seeks to integrate doctrinal legal education with practical exposure, research, critical thinking, and professional development.

The seminar is being organised by Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies (DILS) in collaboration with its Research & Development Committee, as an IQAC Initiative.

About the Seminar
Durgapur Institute of Legal Studies is organising a National Level Seminar titled:

“Questing the Horizon of International Law and New World Order: Jurisprudential Aspects, Contemporary Challenges, and Emerging Perspectives”

The contemporary global order is witnessing significant transformation due to shifting geopolitical dynamics, evolving governance structures, technological developments, and emerging legal challenges. Against this background, the seminar seeks to explore the changing horizons of legal systems at both international and domestic levels.

The seminar aims to provide a platform for academicians, practitioners, researchers, professionals, and students to engage in meaningful academic deliberations on jurisprudential developments, contemporary challenges, and emerging perspectives concerning law and governance.

The seminar will be conducted in Hybrid Mode, enabling both physical and virtual participation.

Themes for Paper Presentation

The themes are indicative and not exhaustive. Authors are encouraged to explore interdisciplinary and contemporary issues connected with the broader theme of the seminar.

Submission Guidelines
Authors are required to submit an abstract of 300 words with 5–6 keywords in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).

The full paper should contain a minimum of 5,000 words, inclusive of references. All submissions must follow the APA 7th Edition citation style.

The manuscript should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 line spacing, with footnotes in size 10.

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. A maximum of two authors per paper is permitted. The co-author is required to register separately.

Authors must submit a plagiarism report with the full paper. A maximum similarity of 10% is permissible, excluding references and properly cited quotations.

Only authors whose abstracts are accepted will be permitted to present their papers. Papers presented during the seminar may be considered for publication, subject to peer review.
