The 36th William Inge Theater Festival and Conference is pleased to announce we will honor the work of Beth Henley, April 19-22, 2017. Henley is the Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of many memorable works of contemporary theater, including Crimes of the Heart. In addition to her stage work, Henley is an award-winning screenwriter, and has been recognized with numerable prestigious other awards. She has taught and inspired many young playwrights as the Arts Presidential Professor of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Gurney, Lanford Wilson, John Kander and Fred Ebb, Romulus Linney, Arthur Laurents, Tina Howe, Sheldon Harnick, Christopher Durang, Tom Jones, Paula Vogel, Marsha Norman, David Henry Hwang, and Donald Margulies.
CALL FOR PAPERS
Papers designed for a 15-minute oral presentation are invited on the films and plays of William Inge or the works of Beth Henley. Papers selected for presentation will become part of the William Inge Collection at Independence Community College, the official repository of the papers of William Inge.
Scholars or students interested in presenting a paper should submit a substantial abstract with title by January 31, 2017. Please submit by mail to:
